As the Public Services Librarian, I want to thank you for taking an interest in our services to the public. Of course, we have books, eBooks, magazines, audio items, and movies for public consumption. We also offer public computers with internet access, faxing services, reference services, photocopying facilities, and programming for both children and adults. We rent out our meeting rooms to businesses and groups. Here at Dodge City Public Library, we take pride in our services and want to ensure that we meet your information needs.

Library card-holders may check-out up to 20 items at a time. Most items are loaned out for 3 weeks; movies and video games are loaned out for 1 week. New items are loaned our for two weeks. We have both print and electronic materials available to our patrons.
The library offers public computers with internet access and useful applications like Microsoft Office.
The Youth Services Department offers a comprehensive collection of materials for ages 0 to teenagers. Also, programs for children, tweens, and teens are offered on a regular basis.
Dodge City Public Library also offers programs on many topics for adults and families. You can check the schedule for programs on our web site, email alerts, and our newsletter.
Meeting Room Reservations:
Public meeting rooms are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is a $25 charge for all meeting room reservations. For more information, call 620-225-0248; ask for the Meeting Room Clerk.
If we do not have the item you want, we may be able to borrow it from another library. This is called interlibrary loan. Most of our loan requests are granted and items are usually available in less than two weeks.
The library has an extensive reference collection and a full time reference librarian to help you answer your questions. We also have an extensive list of scholarly article databases.
The library has a scanner available that can scan photographs and documents in black and white, and color. The files must be stored on a thumb drive. This service is offered free of charge.
