Director’s Corner

From the Director’s Desk

Spring is here, flowers are starting to bloom, birds singing in the backyard, and activities are happening at Dodge City Public Library. Each year about this time we start thinking that winter is about over and summer will soon be here. Those who plant gardens are making their plans. Others may be thinking about where they want to take their summer vacation. As you prepare for these activities be sure to stop by the library and let us help you. We have books on gardening and birds. Check and see what travel books we might have to help you plan that trip. Or if going on a trip , check out our books on CD or MP3 to listen to while on that road trip.

If you haven’t been to the library for awhile, come in some day after school lets out and observe the young people using the computers, playing card games, doing their homework, or just reading a book. Come in anytime and use one of the computers connected to the internet, bring your own laptop and connect to our Wi-Fi, find a music CD to listen to or a movie to check out to watch as a family. While you are here you can check out the latest in the news in our reading area either by reading a current news magazine, the local newspaper, or by watching the TV. Something is always happening at Dodge City Public Library. If you want a grand tour ask for the Director’s nickel tour. See you soon at the library.

Please drop us a line or send an email to me at cathyr@dcpl.info. If you have not been to the library lately, stop by and see what is new here.
