Q. How did Montmartre, the famous hill in Paris, come by its name?

A. Montmartre, famed as the colorful bohemian quarter of Paris, actually means "Hill of Martyrs." It was so named because the patron saint of the city, Saint Denis, was decapitated there around the year 250 AD.

Q. To whom does a donkey speak in the Bible?

A. In the Old Testament book of Numbers, a donkey speaks to the pagan prophet Balaam to protest the beating Balaam gives the beast for refusing to budge.
