From
the Director's Desk
As we start 2012 we are again planning some programs, purchasing new items, and continuing to make the library a place where you can come read the newspaper, check out a good book, and find a family movie to watch, or bring your children or grandchildren to a great program. We hope as you make your New Year’s resolutions that visiting Dodge City Public Library on a regular basis will be one. Stop by the circulation desk and tell us what you like to read. Visit with the staff in the youth department and let us know what activities your young people enjoy. On the front page of our webpage is a link to our podcasts. If you haven’t found this link it is in the upper right hand column. As you start out a new year, don’t forget the library and all it has to offer. And, from the DCPL staff, have a great 2012.
Please drop us a line or send an email to me at cathyr@dcpl.info. If you have not been to the library lately, stop by and see what is new here.

Spotlight on Staff
Robert Rodriguez joined the staff at Dodge City Public Library in July of 2010. Robert is a graduate of Dodge City High School. After having lived and worked in Denver for a number of years he and his wife Gloria moved back to Dodge City. Robert is part of the facilities department and is responsibility for the housekeeping duties. When not at work he spends time with family and makes those occasional trips back to Denver. The next time you are in the library be sure to tell Robert thanks for all the work he does to keep the library spic and span for your use.
