July 5: Friends of the Library book sale. 10am-2pm. Come and see what rarities the library has for sale.

July 12: American Dreams Fair. 1-4pm. Welcome to Dodge City, new immigrants! 1:30-2pm. Martha Mendoza will explain the services provided by the office of Senator Pat Roberts. 3pm. We will have a panel of experts who will answer questions from the audience about immigration, citizenship, and local elections. Several organizations from Dodge City will have available fliers and pamphlets concerning a wide variety of useful information for new immigrants.

July 16: New Book Power Lunch. 12-1pm. Bring your lunch to the library and eat while the staff shows you what new items are available for checkout at the public library.

July 22: Library Board of Trustee Meeting. 4pm. Issues concerning the library will be discussed.

July 24: Dodge City History Talk. 7pm. Jim Sherer will talk on Ham Bell (1853-1947), pioneer, sheriff, mayor, and entreprenuer of old Dodge City!

August 2: Friends of the Library Booksale. 10am-2pm. Come and see what goodies we have for sale at the library.

August 5: Coffee, Donuts, and a Movie. 9:30am. Come and enjoy this free movie about the 1924 Paris Olympics.

August 7: Library Foundation Board Meeting. 4:30pm. Library Foundation Board will discuss ways to help the library.

August 8: New Computer Lab Ribbon Cutting. 10am. Come and see the new computer lab provided by a generous grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

August 9: Introductory Genealogy. 2pm. Larry Jones, member of the Kansas Genealogical Society, and a genealogical researcher for 15 years, will give an introductory course on genealogy for beginners. Bring paper and a writing utensil.
