Functioning as a library within a library, the Teens section has a wide variety of materials tailored to the needs of teenagers. Along with regular books, there are graphic novels, audio books, magazines, college catalogs, and reference materials just for you! We also do a variety of programs throughout the year just for the young adult audience. Please stop by and check us out!

Metamorphosis June 13: Movie Day. 2pm. Alien pods take over human bodies as a terrifying metaphor for loss of personality.

June 21: Thirty-minute Yoga. 1:30pm. Nat Shriver will teach the art of yoga. A mind and body mending experience.

June 26: Go-Green. 2pm. Deb Rhoda teaches Plant conservation--learn to keep it healthy by recycling and planting.

June 27: Movie Day. 2pm. When two intergalactic races wage war, they choose Earth as their battleground.

July 10: Go Bananas! 3pm. Be part of the Banana Competition and Banana Split Day. Enjoy a DELICIOUS banana split; have it your way.

July 11: Movie Day. 2pm. A young wizard battles the Ministry of Magic. (Bring your own snack.)

July 17: Decorate a Shirt! 3pm. Dye a shirt. Screen print on a shirt or sweater.

July 24: Relays. 3pm. Be part of a team and battle against your opponent: Bug

Come and join the Teen Advisory Board of the Dodge City Public Library.

MISSION:
Reading is cool!
  • Planning and implementing teen programs.
  • Creating an inviting atmosphere at the library by maintaining a safe, attractive teen area.
  • Promoting ideas in the young adult collection.
  • Promoting and encouraging reading by teens.
  • Advocating the rights of teens.
