Week 1 (June 29 - July 3): Independence Day

  • Monday - To go craft 

    • Pick up your craft through curbside or at the Main Level circulation desk.

  • Monday - Challenge 

    • Design a bookmark about the Summer Library Program Theme, Dig Deeper: Read, Investigate, Discover

  • Wednesday - Activity Page/s

  • Thursday - Virtual Presentation​

  • Friday - Where's Wallace?​

    • Find the clues as to which book Wallace the Bookworm is reading each week on our website and Facebook page here: Link​ every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. Answers will be posted on Fridays at 2:00 p.m.

      • Tip: Wallace is only in books that are located in the children's department and can be found in our catalog.

For Challenge and Activity Page/s entries, submit a photo of the completed items to summerreading@dcpl.info. For guesses regarding "Where's Wallace?," simply e-mail guesses to summerreading@dcpl.info no later than 2:00 p.m. each Friday.

Week 2 (July 6 - 10): Camping

  • Monday - To go craft 

    • Pick up your craft through curbside or at the Main Level circulation desk.

  • Monday - Challenge 

    • Research any National Park and tell us 3 things you learned about the park. Be sure to also tell us the name and location of the park you chose. Have your grown up email the facts to summerreading@dcpl.info and include your name and age.

  • Tuesday - Storytime​

  • Wednesday - Activity Page/s

    • The bookmark and "I Spy" page are bonus worksheets just for fun and not valid for submission.

  • Friday - Where's Wallace?​

    • Find the clues as to which book Wallace the Bookworm is reading each week on our website and Facebook page here: Link​ every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. Answers will be posted on Fridays at 2:00 p.m.

      • Monday Clue: Wallace is looking for adventure in the great outdoors this week and is excited to spend the night under the stars.

      • Wednesday Clue: Wallace loves hiking and will need his water bottle. How can he hold it without arms? He'll need to make a water bottle holder and he'll look for instructions in this book.

      • Tip: Wallace is only in books that are located in the children's department and can be found in our catalog.
